Even the simplest of phrases can have many different meanings. Being aware of them can help avoid the problems misunderstandings cause.
This leaflet, entitled “Physiotherapy: Common misunderstandings between patients and medical staff” is an excellent resource for both patients and professionals when communicating about exercise. Listing common things that are said - and thought bubbles with what each side of the conversation might think it means.
With it’s light-hearted, plain speaking style, this leaflet sets out some of the common phrases and different possible meanings, giving everyone who reads it a better chance of communicating effectively about physiotherapy and exercise.
This is a full colour, double sided, A4 leaflet.
